Marfa Open Arts is pleased to announce an exhibition of new and selected work from Maiara ‘Taro’ Wilson.

“Multiverse of Characters” explores worlds that cross borders and the characters that created and inhabit them. The characters range from a professor found on the sarcophagi of ancient Egypt to a construction worker in the Nordeste region of Brazil. The show will be open through February.

About the Artist

Maiara is an emerging digital artist who designs and illustrates characters from multiple universes, both real and imagined. Born in 2007 to a Brazilian immigrant mother and a 6th generation Texan father, they live in East Texas with their mother and two cats. They plan on pursuing a BFA in art with a focus on illustration.
